On Wednesday 9th October, teachers and parents joined together in the School Hall to discuss how the school is developing the wider curriculum in the interests of the children’s educational development.
Mr Pyle explained how the curriculum at Weald is underpinned by Character Education and Global Learning and how the emphasis on enquiry-based learning, analytical skills and character quality will serve the children extremely well throughout their lives.
There followed a series of presentations on cross-curricular teaching and learning across the school as well as enjoyable interactive exercises where parents were able to gain an improved understanding of curricular content and sample the challenges of specific work assignments.
Afterwards, cheese and wine was served, kindly organised by the PTA.
