A Blooming Success!
At the April Weald Horticultural Society Spring Show there were many favourable comments on the display of spring flowers pictures made by Mrs Elbra’s Art Club. The judge found it difficult to decide on a winner but when pressed put the red rosette on Jomelojo’s work. Congratulations to her. Other children from the school entered the children’s classes including a decorated egg, a posy of flowers in a recycled container, a growing bean seed and flapjacks. The children’s cup for the most points in the show was won by Emelia. The village hall was packed full with exhibits and visitors stayed all afternoon to enjoy the show.
We are grateful to Sally Jones and all the other organisers and helpers from WHS for including Weald children in this event.
